Why did my cat poop orange ribbon or cotton-like material?

Pet's info: Cat | Turkish Van | Male | unneutered | 9.2 lbs

My cat pooped differenly in the mat next to his litter box. It looked orange ribbon / cotton like without any foul smell. Later he did poop normal. Please let me know what it could be

It's difficult to tell from the picture, but it looks like there is some foreign material in the stool. Cats can get this when they play with certain toys and ingest the yarn, string and/or cloth. It's good that he eliminated this, because these have been known to get caught in the intestines and cause damage. I recommend identifying any potential toys or materials that he could be eating and removing them from the environment. It's also good that he had a normal stool after this one. If he happens to start vomiting, loses his appetite or seems to be in pain, then it would be best to take Whiskey to the vet for an evaluation. I hope that helps and all is well with Whiskey.
