Peanut butter is not toxic and can be fed as an occasional treat to dogs. It's also good for hiding pills in if you ever need to medicate your dog. As long as your dog does not have an intolerance to peanut butter, there is no concern for feeding it. If you notice that Bear is vomiting or having diarrhea, then it will be best not to feed it.     Great questions for Hooch! Absolutely! In small doses this is a great treat usually associated with a kong toy or other toys for dogs. Large quantities may cause stomach upset. A tablespoon would be a fine amount for Hooch!

Some dogs tolerate peanut butter well and some dogs may have diarrhea after eating anything out of their normal diet. The main thing with Peanut Butter is making sure there is no Xylitol in the ingredients. This is a sugar Substitute that can be life threatening for dogs. I want to start feeding my dog cut apples and peanut butter as a snack. Is it safe to give that treat everyday? Especially the peanut butter?
Yes, both of these foods are safe for dogs - there's no reason that you couldn't give them every day, in small amounts as a treat. Just make sure that you're not using a sugar-free brand of peanut butter, as some of these contain xylitol which is toxic for dogs. Most "regular" peanut butter brands are fine :)

Is skippy peanut butter okay to give to my puppy? I gave her a little bit today and she seemed to like it.
A little bit of peanut butter here and there to encourage your pet to either take special medication or behave at the vet is ok to do. However I wouldn't make it a go-to treat because it is very fattening and can also lead to pancreatitis (inflamed pancreas) over time if it is given in excess. Feeding regular dog treats is a better option. I hope this helps and take care of that fur baby.

Is peanut butter good for my Siberian puppy husky that’s 2 and 10 weeks old
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! We use peanut butter at our hospital as treats to keep puppies and adult dogs calm for vaccines and nail trims. Peanut butter is fine as long as your dogs don't have allergies or get an upset stomach from it. Also only use it in moderation as it is fatty. So as a treats, to reward good behavior, for training or for medications is fine. I hope this helps!

Can dogs have oatmeal. Peanut butter and honey in their diet?
They can have those items, just in moderation. Make sure the peanut butter does not contain xylitol. Limit honey and peanut butter to prevent stomach upset or excess weight gain. Oatmeal should be cooked first and not have any added flavors or sweeteners.

OK, what is the vets truth about PEANUT BUTTER? I have always heard NO NUTS! But, yet, peanut butter is OK. Now I just read a recipe for using coconut oil for dogs (which I have read is OK) in a home-made treat calling for CRUNCHY peanut butter.
Peanut butter is fine in small amounts. Too much fat causes pancreatitis in dogs. Never give Chance sugar free peanut butter, as it may contain xylitol, which is highly toxic to dogs. As for peanuts, they are fine in small amount, but again they are high in fat. Crunchy peanut butter is fine, small amounts. I hope this helps Ron!

hi can I feed my puppy shitzu a day of peanut butter and a sardine fish?
A very small amount of peanut butter would not be toxic as long as it doesn’t contain any xylitol. It is pretty calorie and fat dense so I’d limit the amount offered. Same goes for a single sardine. Remember to keep treats 10% or less of Poochini’s diet.

Are peanuts (not peanut butter) bad for dogs? Because sometimes i give my dog 2-3 peanuts when it asks for 'em.

As I have read some articles, peanut butter is not bad for dogs. Is it true? And if so, can I give Pocholo a store bought peanut butter cracker sandwiches?
You are correct. Peanut butter is ok to give your pet Pocholo. However it is fattening so please use your best judgement and not give this all the time or you will surely see an increase in weight and you can end up with an obese pet. Also keep in mind that there are much safer and less caloric dog treats that you can give Pocholo instead. Because remember that peanut butter cracker sandwiches at the grocery are made for people to easily digest, not pets, which can lead to an upset stomach in some cases.
