Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female

My cat won’t eat or drink and her tongues very dry and swollen what can we give her. She just had kittens last week and she’s sick and she’s not feeding her kittens she’s hiding under blankets and her tongue just sticks out of her mouth swollen and dry. We tried giving her some kitten formula bottle feeding her but she won’t take it we tried water she won’t take it the only things she’s taken so far has been Gatorade but I read to give only in rare occasions. What else can we do?

You can try tuna or tuna juice or baby food to drop in her mouth. Keep her tongue moist with just water on a rag to help. She will need to see a vet for further exams to see if there is an infection or ulcer preventing her from putting her tongue in and eating. Make sure to keep the kittens warm and bottle feed them.
