My senior cat screamed after pooping, now seems constipated. Help!

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 13 years and 6 months old | 11 lbs

my cat is 13-1/2..yesterday morn he let out a scream and had a huge bowel movement.Lastnight he let out another scream,laid on his side and looked spaced.He came out of it quick.he eats and drinks,we've given him almo catfood with chicken and pumpkin.But he hasn't gone to the bathroom all day?Yesterday after his bowel movement he peed once.whats up with him please and thank-you

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. It sounds as though Lil Man may be struggling to defecate and this may be causing him discomfort. I would recommend adding in Feline Laxatone and see if this helps normalize his bowel movements. With his age, if he hasn't had a veterinarian examine him in a while or have his blood tested, I would strongly recommend that you have this done in case there is something else going on systemically that is causing these symptoms.
