Hamster won't chew DIY toys? What safe options can I buy or make?

Hi, Where I live there isnt much pet stores with good varity of hamsters chewing toys. I have tried to make some that I found on Youtube but my hamsters didnt like it, can you give me a tip to handle this situation? for example things I can make at home, or buy online. If there are any fruit trees like apple trees or pear trees near you, you could get some twigs into his cage for him to chew. Willow will work also. I realize that Israel is a mainly aried country, but maybe there is a kibbutz near you that grows apples or pears.
