My dog threw up, has loud stomach gas, ate plastic. Should I worry?

My parents 10 year old dog, a Shitzu Bichon threw up a few hours ago and is now making very loud stomach gas noises that I haven't heard before from this dog. These noises started when she was sleeping and she was difficult to wake up. She is now walking around normally but is still making a lot of gas type noises. Should I be worried? The dog did have a piece of a plastic plant in it's mouth earlier but I don't think it ate much/any of it before we took the plastic plant away.

I'm sorry to hear that Trixie Deeny isn't feeling well this evening. It sounds like she is experiencing some form of gastroenteritis with the vomit and increased gut noises. She may start having diarrhea if her stomach is rumbling so much. If she vomits profusely tonight or is hard to rouse again, she should see an emergency veterinarian. If she is still having the gas noises or develops diarrhea she will need to see her veterinarian tomorrow. Anytime a dog eats plastic, I worry about it getting stuck or obstructing the intestines. It takes a fairly large piece for this to occur though. If she continues to vomit though, x-rays will be warranted to ensure this had not occurred. I hope this information helps!
