My Golden Retriever puppy has bloat. Should I worry? How to reduce it?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 22 days old

My 2 months and 22 days old Golden Retriever has a bloated stomach. He isn’t distressed. He was able to poop and pee. Should I be concerned? Also what steps should I make to reduce the bloat? Thank you.

If there is no belching or stomach noises and he is non painful and not in distress then I would take his food and water away to let it digest. If he ate too much or ate too fast this can happen. You can give a small amount of mylanta to help dissolve some gas. If he is panting and unable to get comfortable then I would get him seen
