My cat's glands were expressed, but he's smelly again. Does he need another visit?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered | 7 months and 20 days old

My cat got his glands expressed 2 weeks ago, but now he is smelly again. He is 7 months old. Is it possible that I need to take him again for that? If that is the case, am I going to need to take him to the vet often? Thank you.

You can try a diet change to a different ingredient or a hypoallergenic diet or a sensitive stomach formula to see if that helps with the problem. Also I would talk to your vet about an infection in the gland since it has recurred so quickly. Sometimes an antibiotic can help with this
