My 9-week-old puppy has worms. Can my kids play with her safely?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 2.7 lbs

Hi I have a Chihuahua pug puppy and she's only 9 weeks old I took her to the vet and they said she has worms and parasites and my questions is should I be holding her or letting her play with the kids... is she's really contagious?I've been keeping her in the garage...I'm really concerned ....

There are certain worms that can be transmitted from dogs to people, but it's not easy. However, there is a particular concern with kids getting Toxocariasis. If the worms were diagnosed by a veterinarian, then she should be able to find out the species of worms that were discovered and let you know if they are a concern.
