5yo Mo spits out his food and seems to be having swallowing issues when away from the food dish. I fear that he's got something lodged in his throat. He IS getting some food in - vomited up food this morning. He has been eating significantly less food than normal. This is all new behavior in the past week. Is it possible that he has something in his throat? I've scheduled a vet appointment for Tuesday. Should I get him some high calorie nutrition paste in the meantime? What can I do today?

Yes she could have a polyp in her throat causing problems. I would feed wet food with added water which should be easy to swallow. I’m glad you are taking her in. They may need to sedate her to examine the throat for a mass or problem. Then they can discuss the best treatment. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Mo Diddly.
