Are puppy earmites dangerous? How to tell if they're really gone?

Hi my puppy was diagnosed with earmites a week ago. I saw under the microscope only one earmite crawling. I just want to ask if it is life threatening even though one earmite was shown? Thank you so much. And how do I know if the earmites are gone? Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 9 days old | 5.51156 lbs

Hello, first of all it is by no mean life threatening, but it needs to be treated nevertheless. if you saw one earmite under the microscope, this means there are probably thousands of them in the ears.
