My dog in heat is humping her neutered dad. What does it mean?

She’s in heat, however she’s hopping her father, grapping him by nick, the same positiona male takes on a female for mating, she’s copying it on her neutered father. Is that her way of telling him do this to me ? Pet's info: Cat | Himalayan | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 4 months old

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. This is usually more of a dominance behavior than a sexual behavior. If you are not planning on breeding her then it is best to get her spayed. Dominance behavior and sexual behavior can both be decreased by spaying (removing the source of the hormones).
