My dog's ringworm is improving. Should I stop treatment or see vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 5 months old | 10 lbs

My dog has/had ringworm and this is the outcome of her ringworm after the pills and topical cream. Should i continue putting her cream on? Or take her to the vet and see what they say?

There appears to be some good hair regrowth, but it could be infectious still. I've seen lesions that appear completely normal and still test positive for ringworm, so it is best to take her to the vet for testing. The test takes a few days, but is relatively inexpensive and is the best method we have for determining when to stop treatment. I hope that helps and all Juju recovers soon.
