Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 21 days old

I asked before that what should I do to prevent Pierre from licking the ointment(diluted iodine) on it's legs since,it suffer from fungal infection.someone suggested I use the e collar or come, but Pierre is very tiny.So I don't know where to find them because even the vet don't have.Is there any other ways?I read on internet, someone suggested to use baby socks, does that work?I kinda scared it will make the infection worsen

Hello, you can purchase a small ecollar for a kitten and cut it down to the appropriate size. If that isn’t an option, then a sock worn as a body suit with holes cut for back end and legs is a good alternative (or baby onesie) though I’m not sure if it would effectively cover the area you’re trying to keep him from accessing. If it’s the feet and lower legs, then kids socks put over the feet and secured at the top with medical grade tape may work. You just need to be careful about how tight the tape is (need to be very careful to not impact blood flow) and pay attention to hair loss or skin irritation. Change any clothing or sock covering every day to inspect the underlying areas, and follow up with your vet as they directed. I hope this helps!
