Shepherds show dominance, any truth to that? It's dark and sweety is back after a half and hour run then she sniffs around the house and sits at a spot. Bt now and then she gets up and bites us and everything and growls. My brother raises his voice then she is quiet again and she does that often and only stops when my brother is around to act. For mental stimulation I play find the treat, find me, tug and occationally tease her with "there goes the ball". So, is her behaviour a dominance thing?

Yes, shepherds are a very dominant breed. You need to get this behavior under control before she gets much older. I don't know if you have any professional dog trainers where you live, but if you do, I suggest you consult with one. Dominance behaviors, if you try to correct in the wrong manner, can be very dangerous. A professional can help you do this the right way and safely. If you do not have access to a professional trainer then I suggest you read this website and try to incorporate the training methods described.
