Pet's info: Cat | Devon Rex | Male | neutered | 14 years and 1 month old | 10 lbs
my cat has been vomiting 5 out of 7 days a week for the past 3 weeks. i've tried various soft foods, after he wasn't eating his dry food. today, he did not touch his soft food. he is having his teeth cleaned in april. he has a sore on his lip that he was taking a steroid (prednisolone) for. he has high blood pressure and is taking amlodipine besylate for it. he's kept up his energy level up, just like a kitten, but he's 14 years old, and stays indoors. how can i help him?

I'm sorry that you are dealing with this with Laundry. There are a number of anti-nausea medications that can be helpful for Laundry. And if your veterinarian has not recently checked his blood work (including a thyroid level) and blood pressure, I would certainly recheck those values to make sure that they are normal. Then, you can discuss the best anti-nausea medication with your veterinarian to help Laundry feel better. They will not want to do a teeth cleaning on him if he is not feeling well, so be sure to have them evaluate Laundry and solve this problem first. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
