Is peroxide on my hamster's fur dangerous if she licks it?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Unknown - Small Animal | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 2 months old

My hamster ended up soaked in peroxide at a vet's clinic, which was used to clean her wound. Is it dangerous for her to clean/lick herself, and should I risk cleaning her with water, which would get her soaked again? Thank you in advance

I would make sure the peroxide is completely off her body, by rinsing it with water as much as possible. Dry her up after the bath very carefully. If you rinse peroxide completely off, it should not be any dangerous.
