Can my cat eat a chia pet? Is it safe or toxic for them to ingest?

I was wondering if my car can eat my chia pet it's not the grass it's the normal chia pet. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 3 years and 1 month old | 15 lbs

The chia pet plant is not toxic to cats so if Cid were to ingest / chew on the plant, he should be fine. It would probably be best to not allow Cid to chew / eat the plant to prevent any GI upset.
