Why does my dog have a circular hole in his paw? Tick or cut?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Labrador | Male | neutered | 1 year and 9 months old | 90 lbs

Has what looks like to be a hole in his paw I think a tick has burrowed in his paw and everyone is telling me it's just a cut. But it's a circular hole and I'm not sure what else could make that

There is unlikely to be a tick in the wound but it may have started as a tick bite or spider bite or something else that cause the wound. They can get inflamed and infected and lead to drainage and not healing well. clean the area with warm soap and water and apply neosporin. If it does not improve with 48 hours then i would have a vet check it
