Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. Depends on if there is a tumor on the heart causing compression of the esophagus leading to regurgitation, etc. If the cancer is spreading and beginning to affect other areas of the body such as the GI tract, then vomiting can certainly be a clinical symptom that is seen. Some dogs drink too quickly leading them to vomit up some of the water. I would recommend allowing her to drink small portions of water at a time and fill the bowl with water about 1/4 of the normal amount. Once she is finished drinking that amount, wait about 15 minutes and if she holds that down ok, you can give her more. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
