Is it okay to give my dog Benadryl while he's taking Temeril-P?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 8 years and 8 months old | 21 lbs

My dog was prescribed medication called remarking p: prednisone + trimepraz and I gave him pills total today 2 in the am and 2 around 3pm. He has a cone on so to not lick his paws that have abrasions from scratching the concrete so I gave him Benadryl to help him sleep. Is that ok? I wasn’t thinking

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Don’t panic! Benedryl can be safely given with Temeril-p . It may cause some drowsiness because the temeril-p already has an antihistamine in it but it sounds like that was the goal so no worries! Continue giving the Temeril P as prescribed.
