This looks like possibly a deep bacterial infection of the skin. However, fungal infection and cancer are possible causes as well. I would highly encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian soon. In the meantime bathing with a shampoo with chlorhexidine or salicylic acid may be helpful. These can be found in the human shampoo aisle in the dandruff area. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
