I found a tick on my 8 week old shih tzu puppy. He eats amd drinks water, but he sleeps alot. He's active but not that active. He doesn't really want to play just follow us around then plops in the floor to sleep. Should I be concerned? Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | unneutered

No, if you got the tick off within a day they generally don’t get sick from ticks. If there is any question you can get a tick infection test done at your veterinary clinic. I recommend starting a veterinary oral tick and flea prevention product when he’s old enough, like Bravecto or Nexgard so he doesn’t get more ticks.
