What's this red bald spot near my dog's tail if not fleas or ticks?

Why does my dog have a red bald spot close to her tail? She's on Trifexis so I wouldn't think it's fleas or ticks.... Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 24 days old | 60 lbs

Oh ouch! That looks uncomfortable. It is likely something called moist dermatitis which is a bacterial skin infection. It is very uncomfortable and itchy. I would highly encourage you to have Jasmine examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible. These lesions tend to spread quickly. She will Likely need antibiotic therapy and possibly some steroids to help with the inflammation. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
