Can a vet see if there is blood in a cats stool under a microscope? and what is the best way for a vet to test for blood in a cat'a stool

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! A microscopic examination of feces should allow for the detection of blood within a fresh stool sample. Many times, however, clients are the first to notice blood within the stool (hematochezia) at home when the cat is using the litter box.
