My 2-year-old dog barks at everything outside. How can I stop it?

My dog never used to bark but now he is barking at EVERYTHING outside my house, cars, people etc. Why is this? And how do I stop this annoying behavior? He will be 2 in March. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 9 months old | 85 lbs

Not only is it annoying, but you don't want him to get in a dog fight, bite a person or another dog, or chase a car and possibly get struck. Sometimes the longer we let bad behaviors go, the longer they may persist.
