Why is my 14-year-old dog bleeding like she's in heat?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 45 lbs

My dog is 14 years old and she is dripping light colored blood like she is in heat is she too old to be in heat and should I be worried

She does seem old but it isn't impossible. If she has gone a long time without a heat cycle then I would certainly have your vet take a look at her to ensure there isn't something else going on like a tumor in the uterus or a pyometra (an infection in the uterus) or a severe urinary tract infection. Your vet will be able to recommend the best course of action to ensure she is healthy. I hope this helps!

    I would take May into the vet for an exam. At 13 years old spayed, she shouldn't be bleeding from her vulva. Bleeding like this could suggest something is going on inside, she could have an injury but unfortunately in older dogs bleeding can mean a tumour in the vagina tract. Have a vet examine her to determine what is going on.
