Why is my dachshund yelping when jumping or going up stairs?

I have a dachshund thats 1 and a half yrs old, he likes to jump when he is excited, and runs, but recently he has been yelping every time he goes up the stairs, jumps off the couch, or even when he isnt doing anything, dont know if he has a joint problem or his legs hurt, but im really concerned. Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 6 months old | 20 lbs
