Does the Nutri-Vet Pet-Ease Cat Paw Gel work to maintain urinary pH for struvite stone dissolution and prevention? My cat has a past history of struvite stones (8 years ago) and doesn't eat the urinary SO diet (wet or dry) She is a picky eater and will only eat the blue wilderness salmon high protein wet food when I gave her options. But, I read online that some pet owners have used regular high protein wet food in addition to this nutri-vet or other dl-methionine supplements.

I would talk to your veterinarian about other veterinary diets. It is not recommended feeding other diets because it can prone them to stones. The gel you are referring to if I am seeing the correct one is just a calming agent and will not help with bladder crystals or stones. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
