Why is my cat moping, sleeping a lot, and gagging but still eating?

The past day or two my cat has been sort of moping around, she’ll sleep tons and not seem to be interested in much of anything... not even her favorite toys ): she’s been eating fine and there’s not really any other odd things she’s been doing that’s about it^^^^ oh and right now she was gagging like she wanted to throw up, she didn’t. There are many reasons Sadie could be acting mopey. Viral infections, dietary indiscretion, toxin ingestion, urinary tract infection and many other things can all present as lethargy. That’s good that’s she is eating and drinking. If she is continuing to gag, it’s likely her stomach is upset although certainly something like a hairball could also be possible. If Sadie is still acting off after 24hours, I recommend to have her seen. If she is getting worse, she should also be seen. At home allow her to rest and encourage her to drink water. If she likes canned food, you could offer her some and add additional warm water. Monitor her closely for other signs of illness such as diarrhea, ocular/nasal discharge, vomiting and coughing/sneezing. Hopefully it’s just a little bug that will pass.
