Pet's info: Small Animal | Hamster | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 7 months old
Hi i have a hamster called Jelly and he has his ears down but is eating and drinking normally, but doesn't seem to be pooing as much as he was doing. He has also lost fur and weight due to this. Would you recommend a vets visit? He is 1 and a half years old. Syrian Hamster

Yes, any time you notice an animal not acting like themselves it is best to get them examined by a vet. Losing weight, decreased defecation and losing fur can be concerning and one of the first signs of illness. Definitely take Jelly to a vet that is used to treating hamsters. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
