Why does my cat have a raw, irritated spot on her side and what to do?

My kitty eclipse has a raw side. Idk what it’s from. Plz tell me. She is fixed and about 7 years old.

That looks uncomfortable on Eclipse’s flank! It is likely infected and she likes needs antibiotics to get that to heal quickly. There could be many underlying causes such as fleas, mites, ringworm (which humans can get), possibility allergies or possiblely contact with some sort of chemical that causes a burn. Regardless, the doctor will prescribe medication for infection and likely to decrease inflammation. She should also wear an Elizabethan collar at all times as her licking will only make it worse.
