Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 4 years and 10 months old | 70 lbs

About a week and half ago I noticed my dog losing weight .. he still eats .. but then I noticed his Lyph nodes were swollen more on the right and he now has a kinda cough it sounds like he is blowing alittle out his mouth and then gags . He is still active and seems normal . Just coughing I guess and spitting up a little white stuff not throwing up . He was about 90 pounds three weeks ago but now is 70 ..

Twenty pounds is a lot of weight to lose in three weeks, and that's very concerning to me! I would have Shady seen by a vet first thing in the morning. The swollen lymph nodes unfortunately could be a sign of lymphoma, which would also account for the weight loss. He could also have a severe infection causing the lymph node swelling. Please take him into the vet tomorrow. Best of luck.
