Why is my cat's eye wet, teary, and irritated? Is it serious?

My cat seems to have some issue with his right eye... I noticed last night that his eyes seem very wet almost teary eyed and he had a line of soaked fur from his the corner of his eye (closest to his nose) to mid nose... last year around January he had some sort of work in his eye the vets sed came from flies around the area and we had them removed... he seem to occasionally have that one closed as if irritated. It could be Moxie has an eye infection causing the issues you are seeing. I would take him into the vet first thing in the morning. Any eye problem needs to be checked out promptly because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. The vet can treat his eye as needed. Best of luck.
