My 12-year-old dog has uterine infection & on BP meds. Surgery risks?

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Female | spayed | 11 years and 7 months old | 20.9 lbs

What are the complications of removing uterus of 12 year old dog suffering from uterine infection? Also she's having BP, we're giving her Envas 2.5mg tab everyday.

If she has a uterine infection, she needs to have surgery to have the uterus removed. Without doing so, the infection could be fatal. Surgery does have risks, but the sooner she has surgery (before she starts getting more sick) the stronger she will be to get through surgery and recovery.
