Does omeprazole protect my dog's stomach from prednisolone steroids?

Hi can you tell me if omeprazole protects the stomach whilst taking prednisolone does it also reduce the potency of the steroids

Hi, There are no interactions between the two drugs and they are often given together as the omeprazole helps to protect the stomach from potential side effect that can damage the stomach and cause ulcer by steroids. The instruction to take them differ a bit, the omeprazole is to be taken on empty stomach preferably in the morning before the first meal and steroids are to be taken with food or after a meal (full stomach).
