My 8-week Goldendoodle puppy has a bump on his eye. Is it a stye?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Zero. It is possible that he has as infection along his eyelid such as a stye like you mentioned. He will likely need to see his veterinarian as he will need antibiotics if this is the case. In the meantime, you can try applying warm compresses to the eyelid. Use a warm (not hot) washcloth and hold it to the eyelid for several minutes two to three times per day. Make sure the temperature of the washcloth would be comfortable on your own skin.     It is possible that Odin has a stye. You can try putting a warm compress on it a couple of times a day for 5-15 minutes to see if that helps with it. If it does, you can clean out the discharge from the stye with saline solution. If this doesn't help, then I would take him into the vet. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

Hi there! My new puppy has this bump on her lower eye, i’m not sure if it could be a stye or if it is something more serious. It seems to have gotten a bit larger over the past couple days or so.
Hi there, I'm concerned at the size and redness of the bump, this might be a stye or something that similar that is infected. I'd recommend taking her to her veterinarian when possible this week to have her assessed and treated. She may need eye drops or oral medications if it's a deep infection. I hope that's helpful. My dog has a growth on his eye I took to a vet he said it’s a stye and gave me eye drops but I want a 2nd opinion as I don’t think it is it looks more like a wart to me. He is only 8 and half weeks old
Thank you for submitting your question regarding Rocco. A stye would be more common in such a young puppy than a growth such as a wart would be. I recommend using the medication prescribed by your veterinarian. You can also apply warm (not hot) compresses to the eyelid for several minutes three times per day. For example, hold a warm wash cloth to the eyelid. Make sure it is not too hot against your own skin. This can help to treat it if it is a a stye. The compresses and the medication such remove the issue. If not, then he should see his veterinarian again. I hope this information helps!

Hi, and thanks for your question. That is likely to be due to a mild to moderate conjunctivitis, probably secondary to a trauma or infection. At this stage it is not possible to rule out that a small mass is developing (stye is possible, but a small benign tumor should be considered as well). A check up would be needed as appropriate treatment would include antibiotics and anti-inflammatory eye drops. Corneal injuries must be ruled out as well. Ronald has what looks like a pimple or stye on his eyelid. Hoping it's not the start of an infection. It doesn't seem to be hurting him. Any ideas/advice?
It could be local infection or inflammation. Monitor for rapid change or growth. If he is pawing at it or rubbing, place an e-collar (cone) on him and have it examined in person by your veterinarian.

This morning I noticed this bump on my puppy's eye lid im thinking its just a bug bite but want to be sure

Take a warm compress, and apply it to the area for five minutes at a time a couple of times a day to see if that helps it drain. If it gets bigger, starts to bother her, doesn't go down in a day or two, or appears infected, have her seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

My Boston terrier has a small bump on the lower part of his eye. I’m unsure if this is a style or not?

Hello my puppy just woke up with a pink bump on his upper eye lid I’m really concerned
It may just be a stye or even an insect bite. As long as it isn't bothering him, I wouldn't be worried about it and just recommend monitoring it. A lot of times these go away on their own. However, if it is bothering him I would recommend placing an e-collar on him to prevent him from rubbing his face for now, then get him seen by your vet for medications to help it resolve. Hi! So I just got home and noticed this on my dogs eye. She doesn’t seem to be in any discomfort but it’s very strange because I don’t recall noticing it last night. I was thinking she might’ve scratched herself by accident however there is no blood

My 18 mo old mixed boxer has a “pimple like” bump that appeared on her lower eyelid. She is fine with me touching it, it doesn’t seem to bother her. But it has increased in size in the last 2-3 weeks.
The most common reason that we will see white bumps develop on the edge of the eyelid is something called a chalazion. This is similar to a stye, but is not generally inflamed or painful. Sometimes we will use antibiotic eye drops or ointment if the area is red, but they will normally resolve on their own (but this can sometimes take a couple of months). Sometimes using a warm washcloth on the area for a few minutes twice a day can help, but some dogs do not tolerate this well. If the area continues to get larger, appears red or irritated, or does not resolve in a couple of months, I would certainly recommend having your veterinarian examine it. Good luck!
