My 16 year old Male cat is getting 1ml of prednisone in opposite ears q 12 hours. He is grooming himself and may have ingested some. Will he be ok?

There is not a concern for ingesting prednisolone in and of itself. I am not sure if the formulation you are using is intended only for topical use, so may have some ingredients that shouldn’t be ingested, however if it was just a small amount, I wouldn’t be concerned. If he starts vomiting, having diarrhea or acting lethargic, have him evaluated by a vet; but again I wouldn’t be too concerned. Thanks for asking Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
