My cat's broken leg has painful wounds. What are these punctures?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 7 months and 15 days old | 10 lbs

My cat somehow broke her front left leg around October 16. She was recovering quite good but after some time she got some punctures in that area of the leg which inturn changed to wounds. Those wounds are occasionally blessing and paining her a lot.. Lack of veterinary services in my locality is restricting me to do something about it. What should I do? What are the punctures all about?? PLEASE HELP..!!!

That leg looks very painful and the puncture may have abscessed (infection). This can be due to a fight with another cat, an injury, or even an issue with how the leg is healing. It would be best to bring Billu to a vet ASAP as the wound will need to be thoroughly flushed out and then treated with a course of antibiotics and pain medications to help him recover.
