Hello Ginger vomited and had diarrhea a week ago and I took him to the vet, the vet gave a dewormer and digestive care prescription food. I am noticing that ginger still has symptoms of nausea. .. he is costantly licking his lips,he breathes strange when i carry him and swallowing, he eats and plays.... I'm just worried because I think he should be fine by now. ...oh and he's constantly eating flies. Is there a way to get rid of the nausea and does catnip and ginger tea help?

If Ginger hasn’t shown much improvement then I think you should take him back in for a recheck appointment. He may need medication to help with nausea and/or xrays may be needed to determine what is causing the nausea. I would not recommend feeding him ginger tea. The cat nip should not be harmful but may not be helpful either. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
