Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Not eating and vomiting can be due to a very upset stomach/gastritis, pancreatitis, severe diabetic crisis, blockages of the gut, organ disease, etc. It is important to stop the vomiting and rule out surgical causes and organ failure causes. I recommend you have Peanut to the vet right away, they will likely recommend bloodwork and x-rays. Best of luck with Peanut!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Bailey. I recommend that she sees her veterinarian for the continued vomiting. I suspect her GI upset is due to the frequent diet changes, but you want to ensure there is nothing else effecting her. She may need some testing and/or medication to make her feel better. It is generally safe to hold a dog off of food for 18-24 hours. This will rest the gastrointestinal tract and can relieve the vomiting. However, you must supply plenty of water so that she does not become dehydrated. I hope this information helps!

Poor Bailey! If she has only vomited once you can pick up her food and try offering a bland meal of boiled rice and chicken in a few hours to see if she'll eat, as this can help settle her stomach if there is a minor cause of GI upset. If she won't eat anything at all, continues to vomit, is extremely lethargic right now, or her gums appear pale or blue, then this is a sign something more serious may be ongoing and she needs to be seen by a vet right away. If you're having trouble affording care, these two sites can help give you some ideas/options to afford it in case Bailey needs to get in right away: https://www.humanesociety.org/resources/are-you-having-trouble-affording-your-pet https://www.dogheirs.com/resources-affordable-veterinary-care/
