My husky's eye is red and dilated. Is it PRA or something else?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | neutered | 6 years and 6 months old | 52 lbs

I think my siberian husky has progressive retinal atrophy, the retina is dilated and bright red. He had beautiful blue eyes. Does the red eye mean something more?

The best course of action would be to have your vet or a certified ophthalmologist take a look at Rascal's eye ASAP if the change has been sudden. They can determine the cause of the redness and recommend additional treatment as needed.
