My neutered dog has penis pain and can't walk. What's happening?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 85 lbs

my 2 yr old neutered dogs penis came out a few days ago. it went back easily and then came the smegma so then yesterday he is unable to walk to use the bathroom, eat, sit ect. i took him to the emergency vet. she did a u/a, prostate check, u/s of bladder, xray, pulled back the sheath and examined, flushed it. no causes found. hes still in pain. what are we missing?? any suggestions?

It sounds like your vet did all the right things. You could do a urine culture as a double check for an infection (although that would be very uncommon in an adult male dog). I would be starting to get concerned about a tumor within the penis or possibly a neuromuscular issue preventing normal urine flow. If your vet is out of ideas (as I am), the next step would be going to a specialist, probably an internist.
