What are signs of internal parasites in dogs? My dog has been under weight for a long time. He poops a lot and often. He sleeps almost all the time. He eats and drinks fine. How would I be able to tell if he has a parasite? Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 50 lbs

The best way to know if Lewis has parasites would be to have his feces checked for them by a veterinarian. Signs of parasites can vary from no signs to weigh loss, diarrhea/vomiting and lethargy. It depends on what type of parasites are present and how many are there. Some parasites can also spread to people.
