Why is my 7-month-old puppy sick with pink eyes and bleeding gums?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 35 lbs

I have a 7 month old pup who isn't feeling well. Her nose and eyes appear pink. Initially thought a cold not now shes digging at her face and im finding small puddles of blood on her blankets assuming from her mouth. I don't see her gums bleeding today but they were yesterday

Hello, thank you for your question about Kona. I would recommend having Koba seen by your veterinarian so that they can examine her thoroughly. If the bleeding is coming from her mouth she may be in the process of losing some of her baby teeth. However, this does not usually lead to a significant amount of bleeding or discomfort. It is also possible that something else could be going on leading to these signs. Bleeding from the gums can be a sign of an underlying bleeding disorder/problem or some infectious diseases. Depending on the findings of an examination your veterinarian may recommend performing systemic bloodwork and bloodwork to look for infectious diseases (such as tick-borne disease).
