A guinea pig vet appointment usually costs the same (for the initial exam) as a cat or dog appointment. Prices vary greatly by area, whether rural or city vet and also by individual practice. So the best would be to call your vet or a few vets in your area to find out their fee.

Cost will vary by geographic location and clinic. A broad range would be $25 to $50. It would be best to contact a chosen clinic directly for confirmation. Most will readily provide an estimate as a matter of hospital policy.

I love that you want to get a vet exam for Buddy! The cost of a visit varies by area and within clinics in that area. It could between $40-55 for the office visit. I would call around local clinics to get an idea of an exam visit, and I will give you a link to a website that lists low cost clinics by state: http://www.humanesociety.org/animals/resources/tips/trouble_affording_pet.html?credit=web_id91754962

This price will vary depending on your location. I would recommend first contacting vets in your area to find out who is comfortable examining guinea pigs. Then you can ask what their prices are for an examination. Thank you for trying to find this out before getting a pet - it is very responsible of you!
