Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Male | 14 years and 3 months old
My miniature daschund is completely blind as a result of degenerative retinal atrophy. His eyes always look cloudy, but this morning I noticed a hairline thick "line" in his one eye. At first I thought it was a hair, but upon inspecting it, I saw that it was fixed. It almost looks like a burst eye artery, but it isn't red,it is completely dark. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it, but I was wondering what the cause could be please?

It just looks like hyperpigmentation to me. I personally would not be concerned about this however, it is difficult to diagnose something just by looking at a photo. If you are truly worried you should get Charlie to your vet for an exam. Best wishes.
