My cat's skin turned flaky and grey after home remedies. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 3 years and 11 months old

Hello sir/ma'am My cat is on flea prevention monthly.the first photo is how it was a week ago.I applied apple cigar vinegar and Lotrimin Antifungal on that spot only then it started looking flakey and greysh so I took him to the vet who said he has the rhinitis viruses and gave him congenial injectable and dexamethasone injectable & azitheomycyn syrup and said it doesnt look like ringworm but today I comped the greysh flaky area with vinger and it was reddish maybe from me scrubbing.I'm worried

I hate to hear that Kitty is having the skin issues. I would recommend to leave the lesions alone and stop medicating for now. See if the systemic medications given by your vet heal the lesions. If these lesions persist, the vet may look for underlying allergies, thyroid issues or ringworm (which can have variable appearances). If Kitty is scratching at the lesions, then I would recommend that he wear an elizabethan collar to protect the area.
