My chameleon is hissing. Why is it stressed and what can I do?

Hey I’m a new reptile owner. I have a Chameleon and I’m worried. He’s recently been hissing at me and I know she is stressed because her brother was taken away a week before I adopted her. Plz help me I’m worried

Thanks for reaching out about Frankie. Chameleons are solitary for the most part and don't like to be handled, observed. They just want to meld into the environment and not be stressed. Hissing is often a signs of stress and being disturbed. Check husbandry and correct any concerns. Good luck.
