My 7-month-old cat had shots. Does she need another vet visit?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 6 months and 23 days old | 8 lbs

My kitty was born on June 6. I adopted her in Sept. She had whatever shots she needed at that time and was chipped. She's nearly 7 months old and in good health, growing well, eating well, very playful. Does she need to see a vet for anything? Thanks.

Hi, Vaccination as an adult cat who is not strictly indoors is annually so if she had her shots in Sep she is covered till Sep 2019 . Deworming is recommended every 3 months so she may be due that by now from her vet. And anti flea treatment is also recommended routinely, the frequency of application depends on the product used. Hope that helps and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
